Sahaita organized a medical camp at the Gurdwara in Fremont. This event was free and open to everyone.

Members of Sahaita Incorporation, Fremont and Kaiser Permanente medical center, Fremont with the collaboration of Healthcare providers from Northern California presented this unique opportunity to members of the community. Our Mission was to provide health services including health and wellness education to individuals and families in need of healthcare assessment regardless of color, race and religion.

Physicians from different clinical sub-specialties and other allied healthcare professionals provided free consultations. Health screening for blood glucose, cholesterol, body mass index assessment and urinalysis was done as needed after initial assessment by healthcare providers. More than 250 patients were evaluated for all different diseases and those needing emergency help and had no health insurance were given prescriptions for the needed medications. Members of Sahaita distributed free literature regarding preventative health education.
